Report to Congress on Activities Related to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Other Developmental Disabilities

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released the Report to Congress on Activities Related to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Other Developmental Disabilities. As required by the Autism CARES ACT of 2014, this Report describes the efforts of 21 Federal departments and agencies involved in ASD research, services and supports between fiscal years 2014 and 2018. It also describes the efforts of the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) and the National Autism Coordinator. The information presented in this Report as well as documents prepared by the IACC summarize the state of federal efforts and may be used to inform planning of future federal ASD activities. This Report was prepared by the Office of Autism Research Coordination at the National Institutes of Health, with contributions from multiple federal departments and agencies, on behalf of the Office of the HHS Secretary.
